Monitor trends and expand your network
To create a profile click on the green "add profile" button which can be found at the top left of the menu.
The profile's name should reflect the keywords you are searching for- in this example, add "industry topics".
Then you can add any keywords you want to include in your search (for example; media, pr tools, newsrooms). You can have a maximum of 30 keywords, but we recommend using between one to six keywords to get the most relevant hits. In order to further refine the results and limit the number of profiles, you can add useful words with a plus sign in front of it to appear in all hits, for example, your company name. You can also add words with a minus sign to remove hits where the specific words exist. When you create your profile, you can select which language you want that hit to be retrieved in as well as choose if you want to be notified via email. Do not forget to save the profile at the bottom!
To view the results of your profiles and keywords, click the items under each profile (on the left in the menu). Here you can get a list of hits that match your profile's keywords.
Explore retrieves hits from articles, blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and forums. These hits will remain in the lists for 60 days from the date the hit appeared in the list. You can select the hits that you want to view by ticking the boxes in the blue menu at the top. By clicking on the gear next to specific items, you can mark favorite matches and prevent them from being deleted. Favorites are marked with a star and can be found at the bottom of the menu on the left. You can also choose to delete resources by clicking on the gear next to a date and select “delete hit”.
When you find an interesting article or tweet etc. you can easily add the person who wrote this directly to your network. The tool will look for the author's email address and present to to you in the preview.
If you click on the email address, you can drag and drop that person into your network.
