Analyze and evaluate your newsroom
Our Analyze function is stripped of all web crawlers and spider traffic data. In the UK it has recently been reported that up to 61% of all average views per page consist of spider traffic. What that means for you: your statistics in the Analyze feature are not bloated so you can draw a more accurate and complete picture of the value of your work.
Newsroom Statistics The graph shows the number of views in your newsroom over a year; the last month, the last week or custom dates. Clicking the wrench icon on the right will filter it by unique or total views. The number of views means the total number of clicks on the material you published in the newsroom, e.g. an image or a press release.
Most Popular stories Here your most viewed stories are ranked with the most popular at the top
Medium (bar chart) This refers to the method by which your audience entered the newsroom.
Referrers The websites through which the viewer entered your newsroom
Devices Visitors Use
This section will show you which devices people used to come into your newsroom- as our newsrooms are fully responsive you’ll start to see the numbers on mobile creep up
Map Here you can view where your audience is located. You can make the map full screen by clicking on the ‘enlarge’ button on the top right of the map. It shows up to 1000 visitors from the last 30 days
Here you can view the statistics for each piece of content, grouped by month. Click on the headline of the article to view the statistics. You will see the email opening rates for what was sent to your own distribution lists in the first three boxes. This includes delivery rates, opening rates and click-throughs via email.
Contacts who have opened and clicked
For every story you email to your distribution lists - either automatically through “Publish” or manually through “Network” - you can see the exact people within your network who have opened the email and if they clicked on any links. This means that you can now target specific influencers for follow-up communication or campaigns, knowing that they’ve actually read and interacted with your emails.
Please note that those who receive the material via email are not counted in the statistics for the overall number of clicks - they get the material via email and therefore did not visit your newsroom. Do add those to your total to get a more accurate view of the number of people who have read your material.
Graph Here you will see the number of views during a selected time period. You can compare the last week, month, year or custom dates.
Editors’ alerts and subscriptions Here you can see which editors received your material e.g. local press.
Journalists’ alerts and subscriptions Here you can view which media are the journalists from when they received your material. This is based on the categories you have chosen (see Newsroom>1.2 newsroom settings and/or Publish> 2.1 press release).
Shares on Social Media Here you can view the number of times people shared your content on social media. With Twitter you can click through to view those people. Tip! Once you’re on Twitter, click on “all” to see all shared rather than just the top rated.
Map The map will show you where your visitors came in from. You can enlarge it by clicking on the top right corner.
