Welcome to Golf Monthly's 2015 Driver Test
Our mission for this major driver test was not to find the best driver on the market. After years of testing drivers it’s clear that there is isn’t one model out there that will suit everyone. With a range of head designs, centre of gravity positions and adjustability, there’s never been a wider range of models available. Our goal for this test was to help narrow your search for a driver that could best suit your game. We did this by testing 29 models at the Foresight Sports HQ in Guildford, Surrey. There, we were able to use the GC2 launch monitor to compare the performance of the drivers. We haven’t included the launch monitor data, as we felt a breakdown and description of the performance and feel of the drivers would be more beneficial. Instead, we used the data to form our opinions and describe what the drivers offered us. Over the past three months we’ve been fitted for every driver tested here, enabling us to compare each model set-up equally. We also changed settings where possible to examine the effect of adjustability. Our feedback will hopefully help you to identify the models best suited to your game and preferences.
